Converse By You (2023-2026)

I was hired to transition the Converse by You custom builder from composited 2D imagery to an immersive 3D builder engineered by Nike. Using provided artwork and reference from the Product team, I created GLTF assets for a Babylon.js experience, and operations teammates implemented game logics to drive the customization parameters. In addition to seasonal work, I trained two graphic designers to create 3D textures and onboarded a senior 3D technical artist.

3D models were created using: Blender, Modo, Gravity Sketch, 3D Scanning

Run Star Trainer

3D model were created with focus on precise UV unwraps based on the factory shell patterns to allow for precise graphic pattern wrapping according to designer artwork.


Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Glitter

At the time of creation, iridescent materials were not supported, so a specialty glitter was created in Babylon.js node material editor that utilized fresnel filters, linear color interpolation, and color replacement ranges.


XX High

Due to the large amount of components and scale of the model, focus was given to minimizing triangle count for performance without sacrificing detail. Textures were created by Michael Spieler.
